    This comprehensive online entrepreneurship programme will provide you with all the knowledge and skills you need to set up and run a successful business. Moreover, you will benefit from expert coaching advice on building your business with your own coach who will support you through all the stages of developing your business.     It consists of a menu of 18 modules for you to choose from which means that you only learn what you need. We provide an online self-assessment to help you choose which modules suit you and you can also speak to one of our expert coaches to further refine your choice. All the modules contain high quality learning content, including videos, presentations and podcasts.

    The programme has been designed by entrepreneurs and skills experts and has been developed for people new to the world of business and those who require targeted learning in a particular area. This programme will help you create the tools you need to make your business a success, such as a competitor analysis or outline budget.

    Who should take this programme?

    This programme has been designed for individuals wishing to set up a business, have a business idea, want to become self-employed or want to improve their current business.

    There are no formal entry requirements for the programme.
    However, if you choose to study for the qualification, EduGrowth will review your application to ensure that you have the necessary experience, skills and/or qualifications to successfully complete this programme at this level.

    Certification

    This programme can lead to a UK regulated qualification, either the Award in Entrepreneurship or the Certificate in Entrepreneurship depending on whether you achieve 8 credits (4-8 modules depending on the credit size of the module) or 16 credits (between 9 and 14 modules depending on the size of the module). Taking the qualification is optional and if you choose not to then there reduced fees available (see the Fees Tab above).

    Duration of the Programme

    How long it takes is really up to you. Each module not only has things for you to read and watch it also has various activities for you to undertake and therefore how much time you spend will dictate how much benefit you get from each one.

    However, each module has a credit value which you can see in the list of modules to the right. Each credit equals 10 hours of learning for the average participant, so the Award or Certificate Programmes can take around 80 to 160 hours to complete depending on which bundle of modules you choose.

    How much does it cost?

    You can purchase the modules in bundles as indicated below

  • Bundle 1 – 4-8 modules depending on module size – £400 (£450 with the qualification)
  • Bundle 2 – 9-14 modules depending on module size – £720 (£800 with the qualification)
  • We also provide instalment plans.

  • Bundle 1 – Instalment plans from £50 over five months with a deposit of £150.
  • Bundle 2 – instalment plans from £100 over five months with a deposit of £220
  • You can also take an individual module for either £120 or £150 depending on whether it is 1 or 2 credits.

    Description of Modules

  • Assessing Your Business Idea (2 Credits)
  • The purpose of this module is to help you to test your business ideas, agree or amend them and have confidence to further develop your thinking on the next steps.

  • Planning Your New Business (2 Credits)
  • The purpose of this module is to help you acquire the knowledge, understanding and skills needed for planning your new business. By the end of the module you will have created a start-up action plan for your business.

  • Developing Your Strategy (2 Credits)
  • The purpose of this module is to help you acquire the knowledge, skills and understanding needed to build an effective business strategy. By the end of the module you will have created a strategy for your business.

  • Managing Finance (2 Credits)
  • The purpose of this module is to provide you with the knowledge and skills to enable you to become effective in managing the finances of your business so that it can thrive and grow and identify and address financial issues as they arise. By the end of the module you will have created a cashflow forecast and a budget for your business.

  • Sourcing Finance (2 Credits)
  • The purpose of this module is to help you to acquire the knowledge and understanding of the types of finance available and the skills to be able to pitch your idea to investors. By the end of this module you will have created an investor pitch deck for your business.

  • Marketing Your Business (2 Credits)
  • This module will enable help you to acquire the understanding, knowledge and skills to create an effective marketing plan for their business.

  • Building a Brand (1 Credit)
  • The purpose of this module is to help you acquire the knowledge, understanding and skills of the importance of a strong brand and the skills to identify the desired brand characteristics of your own business.

  • Presenting Your Business (1 Credit)
  • The purpose of this module is to help you to understand the importance of effective communications for your business. It will also enable you to develop the skills to confidently present your business, product and/or service ideas to stakeholders in both written and oral forms.

  • Researching Your Market (1 Credit)
  • The purpose of this module is to help you acquire the knowledge and understanding of the different methods used for market research and the skills and methodology to carry out effective market research for your own business. By the end of module, you will have created a market research report for your business.

  • Selling Your Products and Services (1 Credit)
  • The purpose of this module is to give participants the understanding and knowledge of an effective sales process as well as the skills to be able to plan and embed this in your business. By the end of this module you will have developed a sales plan for your business.

  • Managing Quality (1 Credit)
  • The purpose of this module is to help you acquire the knowledge, skills and understanding on how to manage quality within your business. By the end of this module you will have developed policies and procedures to manage quality.

  • Developing Innovation and Creativity (1 Credit)
  • The purpose of this module is to help you acquire the knowledge and understanding of creativity and innovation and the skills to apply them in your own business. By the end of the module you will have assessed the innovation and creativity in your business idea.

  • Managing Physical Resources (1 Credit)
  • The purpose of this module is to help you acquire the knowledge, skills and understanding on how to manage physical resources within your business. By the end of the module you will created a plan to manage physical resources in your business.

  • Managing People (1 Credit)
  • The purpose of this module is help you acquire the knowledge, skills and understanding on how to create a productive and motivated workforce. By the end of the module you will created a staff induction and monitoring process.

  • Employing Staff (1 Credit)
  • The purpose of this module is to help you acquire the knowledge, understanding and skills to identify the staffing needs of the business and then recruit and employ the right staff in accordance with legislation. By the end of the module you will have created a plan for the allocation of human resources.

  • Developing a Customer Service Focus (1 Credit)
  • The purpose of this module is to enable you to understand the importance of a strong customer service focus and to consider how they can apply it in your own businesses. By the end of the module you will have developed customer service standards and created a plan for a customer service focus in your business.

  • Developing Yourself (1 Credit)
  • The purpose of this module is help you review your knowledge, understanding and skills and what requires further development to support your business success. By the end of this module you will assessed your own personal development needs and created a personal development plan.

  • Building Your Online Presence (2 Credits)
  • The purpose of this module is designed to enable you to develop the skills, knowledge and understanding of how to build your business’ online presence. By the end of the module you will have developed a plan to increase your business’ online presence.
